- Oil Painting — Still Life
Class #261 April 16-May 14, Fridays, 9 am—12 pm
Class #262 June 3-July 1, Thursdays, 9 am—12 pm
This still life class introduces multi-layered oil painting techniques perfected by Dutch and Italian masters of the 17th century.
The class covers warm and cool color applications and paint handling such as impasto, glazing and scumbling. This is an opportunity to work with historical pigments, learn about the use of oil media, and various types of grounds, and painting supports. Students work from direct observation, and complete a painting in five sessions.
